Welcome Reception at the Rodin Sculpture Garden
Sunday, July 16, 5:30 pm-8:30 pm
The B. Gerald Cantor Rodin Sculpture Garden features 20 bronze statutes by Auguste Rodin, the largest collection outside of France. The Garden is a part of the Cantor Arts Center, Stanford's newly remodeled art museum which originally opened in 1894. Heavy appetizers of Mexican food, wine, beer and soda will be provided. The garden is located about 1/2 mile from the Sheraton Hotel, within easy walking distance. A shuttle bus between the Sheraton and the event will be available from 5:15-9:00 pm.

Dinner at The Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose
Monday, July 17, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm - Depart Palo Alto 5:30 pm
There is nothing quite like "The Tech" to capture the spirit and innovation of the Silicon Valley. There are over 250 interactive high-tech exhibits in the Life Tech, Innovation, Communications and Exploration Galleries, as well as a viewing in the IMAX Dome Theater. This museum showcases our homegrown, high-tech wonders in a manner befitting Silicon Valley. Leisurely explore the various exhibits and when you tire of the exhibits, enjoy a light buffet. A no-host bar will provide California wines, beer and soft drinks.

CSHEMA Awards Lunch
Tuesday, July 18, 12:00 Noon-2:00 pm
Recipients of annual awards will be announced and plaques presented after lunchtime dining at the Sheraton Hotel. Awards are given by the CSHEMA Awards Committee in the following categories: Complete Environmental Health and Safety Program, Unique or Innovative Problem Solving, Newsletter, Home Page, Distinguished Service to Safety, and Honorary Life Membership Award. Join the other delegates in honoring members with exemplary programs.

Closing Dinner on the San Francisco Bay aboard a Hornblower Yacht
Wednesday, July 18, 7:00 pm-10:00 pm - Depart Palo Alto 5:30 pm
Leaving from the Port of San Francisco, enjoy spectacular vistas of San Francisco including Coit Tower, the Transamerica Pyramid, Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge and sailing under the legendary Golden Gate Bridge. This three-hour moonlit bay tour includes dinner, a no-host bar, music and dancing.

Monday, July 17 - Tour of San Francisco
9:00 am-3:00 pm
Departing from the Sheraton Hotel at 9:00 am, Gray Line Tours will take you to beautiful San Francisco, consistently rated by world travelers as one of the most exciting cities in America. See the Civic Center where the remarkable Opera House and City Hall are situated, as well as the elegant Davies Symphony Hall. Travel to historic Old Mission Dolores, where San Francisco was founded by Catholic monks, then make a stop in Twin Peaks, high atop the City, for a panoramic view of San Francisco and the Bay Area. The next stop is in magnificent Golden Gate Park with a stop at the Japanese Tea Gardens (admission price not included in tour) or the Botanical Gardens. From Golden Gate Park, you will drive beside the Pacific Ocean, stopping for a visit at the historical Cliff House. Next is the Presidio, an urban National Park, and then a trip across the legendary Golden Gate Bridge, with a stop on the north side of the bridge for a spectacular view of San Francisco and the Bridge. View Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 at the conclusion of the tour. Box lunches will be provided.

Wednesday, July 19 - Guided Tour of Stanford University
9:45 am-3:30 pm
Participants will be transported from the Sheraton to Stanford's "Oval" at the heart of the central campus, where they will receive a special presentation about the campus and a tour of the Hoover Institution Library and Tower (bring your cameras for a panoramic shot of the entire Bay Area!). Following a picnic lunch, a docent will lead the group through the Stanford Quad to Memorial Church, the University's architectural crown jewel. From there it's on to the newly retrofitted Iris and Gerald Cantor Center for the Arts which houses one of the world's largest collections of Rodin sculpture. A special guide will lead our group through the museum's 27 galleries -- which hold a collection of paintings, sculpture, and artifacts from all over the world. Note: The "golden spike" from the 1869 ceremony joining the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads is also displayed at this museum.
